- Contractor CRM in Edmonton
A contractor CRM built by people who run a contracting company.
Booking request to signed contract to crew on site to invoice paid to what the job actually made. One system, in Edmonton, that you own outright.
The problem is not leads. It is the eleven steps after.
An Edmonton contractor's day is a chain: a request comes in, somebody drives out, a quote gets typed up, the customer signs something, material gets ordered, a crew gets told where to be, something changes on site, the invoice goes out, somebody chases the cheque, and at the end nobody really knows what the job made.
Every link in that chain lives in a different place — texts, a spreadsheet, a quoting app, an accounting program, a whiteboard. The gaps between them are where the money leaks: the quote that was never followed up, the change order that was done but never billed, the crew that showed up to a job the customer had rescheduled by text the day before.
We built one system that holds the whole chain. We did it for our own roofing company first, because we were the ones losing the money.
We run one of these ourselves
PJ Digital is the software side of a working Edmonton-area roofing company. The system in the demo below is the shape of the one we quote, contract, dispatch and bill on every day. When we say a change-order approval by text works, it is because a homeowner approved one that way last week.
That matters for two reasons. We know what a contractor actually needs the software to do on a Tuesday in October when it is minus four and the crew is already on the roof. And we know what nobody uses, so we do not build it.
What a job looks like inside the system
Each step generates the next one. The numbers never get retyped, so they never drift.
Booking request
From the website widget, a text or a phone call typed straight in. The customer gets a confirmation text before you have replied.
Inspection
Findings and photos on a phone, on the roof. Annotated, saved to the job, ready for the quote.
Quote
Line items, totals and GST recalculate as you type. Sent by text and email with a link. You see when it is opened.
Signed contract
Generated from the quote. The customer signs with a finger on any device. Legally binding, stored against the job.
Material and purchase orders
Ordered against the job so the cost lands where it belongs, not in a pile of supplier receipts.
Dispatch
Crew scheduled, address and scope on their phone, check-in on arrival, a team chat per job.
Change orders
Soft decking, extra sheets — priced on site. The homeowner approves by text. Margin recalculates instantly.
Invoice
Written from the contract and change orders. Sent with a pay link — card or e-Transfer. The balance clears when they pay.
Follow-up and review
Reminders on unpaid invoices, a review request after the final payment, all on their own.
Job costing
Labour, material, subs and change orders against what was billed. What the job actually made, per job and per month.

A working build of a full roofing operation — twenty modules and sample jobs. A 24-step guided walkthrough runs it for you if you would rather watch.
- Take a booking request, run an inspection, build a quote — totals and GST recalculate as you type
- Sign a real contract with your finger, order the material, schedule a crew
- The invoice writes itself from the contract — record a payment and the balance clears
- Then see what each job actually made, in job costing and reports
Fictional company, sample data. Nothing in the demo sends a text, charges a card, or emails anyone.

Straight answers
What does a contractor CRM cost?
A fixed project quote, then it is yours — no per-user monthly fee. We build it in stages so you are working in it early. Stage one is a simple, solid database of customers, quotes, invoices and payments. Stage two adds the automation on top: contracts from quotes, reminders, follow-ups, review requests and referral tracking.
How is this different from Jobber or Housecall Pro?
Those are rented, per seat, and designed for the average contractor in North America. This is built around how your company quotes, contracts, dispatches and bills, and you own it when it is done — source code included.
Does it handle GST and Alberta contracts?
Yes. Quotes calculate GST as you type, the contract is generated from the quote, and the invoice from the contract, so the numbers never drift between documents. Deposit terms, warranty language and Alberta's ten-day cancellation period are written into the terms.
Can my crew use it in the field?
It runs in a browser on any phone. Crews check in on arrival, upload annotated photos and post to the job's team chat. Change orders are priced on site and approved by the homeowner by text. Customer phone numbers can be hidden from field staff until an admin approves.
I am not a roofer. Does this work for HVAC, plumbing or landscaping?
The demo is shown as a roofing company because that is ours. The shape — request, inspect, quote, contract, dispatch, invoice, cost — is the same for any trade. We build the parts that are specific to you.
Do you build the website too?
Yes, and it is the better way to do it. Every form on the site lands as a booking request in the CRM and fires a text to whoever needs to know, so the website and the system are one thing. See web design in Edmonton and small business website packages.
